Wendy B. Silver
Wendy has worked in-house in human resources for several different organizations and in a variety of industries including health care, higher education, hospitality, and life sciences. Prior to joining Foley & Foley, Wendy owned and operated Beyond the Workplace, a boutique HR consulting company specializing in employee relations and HR compliance. Her clients ranged from small businesses and startups to large multisite organizations.
Wendy has over 20 years of labor and employment law experience. She began her career as a Field Attorney in Philadelphia for the National Labor Relation Board. It was this role that gave her a real understanding of common employment pitfalls and where she gained valuable insight including: every workplace is unique and special, yet they all confront similar challenges in managing their people.
Wendy is passionate about promoting, inspiring, and creating better workplaces so businesses and their employees can grow in the right direction. Her unique combination of legal knowledge and HR operational know-how has made her a successful, valued, and highly trusted advisor at all levels of an organization.
Wendy also serves as a Commissioner on the Massachusetts Commission on the Status of Women. In her free time, Wendy hosts a podcast, the PowHER Hour.
