Julia has experience effectively managing a variety of employment matters in the public, private, and nonprofit sectors. As a core member of our Employment Counsel On-Call Triage Service, Julia handles questions related to compliance and best practices on a full range of employment law-related topics, including: accommodations, leaves of absence, discrimination, harassment, hiring/recruiting, wrongful termination, and performance management. Julia has experience working in Human Resources for a nonprofit organization, which gives her a unique perspective on solving complex issues for employers.

Julia is the Practice Leader of Personnel Policies and Handbook Services. She has successfully helped large and small employers develop effective handbooks and update policies to address workplace issues and ensure compliance.

Throughout her time at Foley & Foley, Julia has helped employers take proactive steps in managing their workplace through developing and conducting training programs on various topics, including: leave laws; accommodations; Diversity, Equity & Inclusion; emotional intelligence; managing performance; and, conflict resolution. She has conducted audits for employers and provided recommendations to mitigate areas of risk. Julia has performed workplace investigations into complaints of harassment, discrimination, toxic workplace, and workplace misconduct.

While in law school, Julia interned with the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and the U.S. Attorney’s Office. Julia also worked as a Law Clerk with an international Fortune 100 company in their in-house Employment legal department.

Julia is passionate about counseling employers and dedicated to finding creative solutions that best meet the needs of clients.
