The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Office for Civil Rights (OCR) is focused on preventing the impermissible disclosure of unsecured protected health information (PHI), and so too must all covered entities. The OCR has increased the frequency of audits and has issued significant fines to covered entities that have failed to properly protect protected health information under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act.

Covered entities must implement a program of risk analysis and risk management protocols intended to secure PHI (especially on mobile devices) and prevent costly disclosures. Through this audit service, we will conduct a complete analysis of the your existing HIPAA compliance program and identify areas of non-compliance and risk. We will also make recommendations for modifications and best practices as needed.
