Preparing for Your Workplace for COVID-19 Vaccines
With the U.S. approving the first distribution of COVID-19 vaccines this week, many employers have been wondering whether they can add a vaccination program to their COVID-19 response. The answer is yes – in 2021. The best practice is a written policy and standard forms to ensure even, fair distribution and exceptions where appropriate. The sooner you prepare and inform your workforce to alleviate worry and misconceptions, the better.
Each state has devised their own vaccination schedule for their residents. For example, in Massachusetts the vaccine will be available to the general public between April and June.
With the unpredictable nature of COVID-19, it is wise to be ready for any early access to vaccinations– and to consider whether you will be encouraging or requiring your employees to receive the vaccine. We have created a comprehensive COVID-19 Vaccination Policy Package, developed based on EEOC guidelines, that includes:
- COVID-19 Mandatory Vaccination Employer Policy;
- Employee Informed Consent of the Vaccine Policy; and
- Waiver Forms for Employees who need a Reasonable Accommodation due to Disability or Religious Beliefs.
Getting your workplace ready for vaccines will put your mind at ease even before the vaccine is readily available in the coming months. Contact us to purchase the COVID-19 Vaccination Policy Package.
