Deja Vu All Over Again: The Vaccine Mandates Unwrapped

Gifts to wrap! Checks to write! And the groceries! But that is not the deja vu we are talking about here. It’s the whiplash of the vaccine mandates in the courts. Here is the status of the mandates now:

  • Employers with 100 or more employees: The OSHA mandate is back on. Employers will need to take steps to comply with the ETS by Jan. 10, 2022:  implementing vaccination policies, determining the employees’ vaccination status, requiring unvaccinated employees to wear masks and providing paid time off for employees to get vaccinated. Employers will have until Feb.9, 2022, to require unvaccinated employees to submit weekly COVID-19 tests. You can do all of this with our fixed fee OSHA ETS Compliance Package.
  • Healthcare Workers: Weirdly, this mandate is on in 25 states (another blow to E Pluribus Unum!). If you are in one of those lucky states, or if you want to be prepared for the next court change-up, we can help with our fixed fee CMS Compliance Healthcare Package.
  • Federal Contractors:  Your vaccine mandate is on hold nationwide, awaiting the next court decision. And yes, Virginia, there is a fixed fee solution for you too.

What’s Next? Given the disarray with the various Appeals Courts’ decisions, the next logical step is a final ruling from the Supreme Court. But that is up to the Supreme Court to decide if and when they will take up these cases, which impact millions of workers.
