In the latest chapter of “As the Court Turns,” a federal judge has reinstated Gwynne Wilcox to the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB). She had been terminated without cause by the President. The judge came on strong about the limits of presidential power and this will be with the US Supremes sometime soon. It is a juicy decision about power and labor law but let’s get to the practical part:
What does it mean for your business?
The NLRB has a quorum: Now the Board can function. At least three members are required to issue decisions and rules and review contested elections. In the short term, we will see employee friendly labor relations from the Board until Mr. Trump fills other vacancies.
